For your convenience a boxed breakfast will be included this morning. Today depart early for the Fiesta grounds to witness the 47th annual Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. Founded in 1972, the Fiesta began with 13 balloons and has grown to over 500 participants representing countries throughout the world. It has emerged as the most photographed event in the world. At sunrise witness the accession of hundreds of balloons as they paint the sky with picture postcard brilliance. Later explore Albuquerque and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center which depicts the history and culture of 19 Native American Pueblos. You have time to explore Old Town and its many adobe buildings that house numerous shops and restaurants before returning to Santa Fe via the picturesque "Turquoise Trail".B, D
This morning travel to Taos Pueblo, a village that has been inhabited for over 1000 years by Native Americans. Led by a native Indian tribe member enjoy a tour of this National Historic Landmark. Later explore historic Taos Plaza for lunch and enjoy some shopping and sightseeing. This evening you are free to explore Santa Fe on your own.B
Today explore Santa Fe with a local guide. You'll see the Palace of the Governors and the miraculous staircase at Loretto Chapel. Later you're free to explore one of America's most fascinating cities on your own. Discover century old buildings and narrow winding streets filled with museums and unique Southwestern shopping. This evening witness the outstanding Balloon Glow event. Just before dusk hundreds of balloons are ignited transforming the evening sky in a kaleidoscope of brilliant colors.B, D
