Originally this event started as a gift of gratitude from the Queen of the Netherlands. It has grown to be the largest tulip festival in the world. Enjoy all the festivities in Canada's capital city and witness over a million tulips on display. You'll tour Parliament Hill and visit the Royal Mounted Police Stables. In addition, take a cruise to witness the beautiful 1000 Islands and historic Boldt Castle on this memorable two nation vacation.

Day 1

Today travel to the heart of the 1000 Islands, Alexandria Bay, New York. Enjoy overnight accommodations at the Riveredge Resort located right on the St. Lawrence Seaway and overlooking Boldt Castle. A welcome dinner is included at your hotel.


Day 2

This morning take a scenic cruise of the 1000 Islands. Discover the colorful history of the islands and view the magnificent homes of the rich and famous. Later visit Boldt Castle and learn the most compelling love story of George and Louise Boldt. Reminiscent of Germany's Rhineland castles, this 120 room, six story landmark is one of the area's most photographed attractions. Later travel across the Canadian border to Ottawa. Our accommodations for the next two nights are provided at the Carleton Suite Hotel, formerly the Marriott's Residence Inn located in the heart of the city.


Day 3

Embark on a city tour of Ottawa showcasing Parliament Hill, the Prime Minister's residence, the Mile of History, Byward Market and the Supreme Court. Later visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Stables and discover the fascinating history of these beautiful horses. This afternoon enjoy the annual Canadian Tulip Festival on your own. You'll see a stunning display of millions of tulips. This evening dinner is included at a local restaurant.

After breakfast, we bid "Au Revoir" to Canada with cherished memories of this two nation vacation.

Take in the beauty and serenity of picturesque Alexandria Bay during your one-night stay at the Riveredge Resort. This charming town in located in the heart of the 1000 Islands and features magnificent views of the river as well as enchanting Boldt Castle.
