Day 1

Today we travel north toward "Vacationland" and Grafton Notch State Park, tucked away in the majestic mountains of Maine. En route, we'll stop at the most photographed and painted covered bridge in the state, the Artist Bridge. Later, we'll set off on a "moose safari" accompanied by a local experienced guide. Maine is home to the second largest population of moose in the United States, so we may get a chance to view these majestic animals in their natural habitat. Enjoy the amenities at Jordan River Resort at Sunday River where we'll overnight and enjoy an included dinner. (D)

Day 2

This morning, our travels take us to the Canadian province of New Brunswick. Arrive in the idyllic town of St. Andrews by-the-Sea, a National Historic District and one of the most enchanting settlements in the Maritimes. The old-world charm of original 19th century architecture and cobblestoned streets mixes with the modern - an art gallery, national marine research center, community college and world-class golf course. A local guide leads our tour of the town featuring the Old Gaol, the courthouse and the blockhouse with amazing views of the harbor. The elegant Algonquin Resort Hotel St. Andrews by-the-Sea, Autograph Collection® is our home for the next two nights - experience true luxury at this legendary, five-star retreat. Tonight, savor an included dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 3

We begin the day with a visit to a living memorial and symbol of true international friendship - Roosevelt Campobello International Park. Throughout the years the island has played host to many well-to-do families including Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his family, for whom the park is named. You'll have the opportunity to see several of the "cottages" providing a glimpse into why this was such a beloved summer retreat. Enjoy lunch in the park at the Fireside Restaurant before returning to St. Andrews. The rest of your day is free to explore this beautiful seaside resort town on your own. Explore the downtown area's unique shops and restaurants, visit Kingsbrae Gardens and its 27 acres of manicured grounds, or enjoy some of our resort's fine amenities. There are endless opportunities for fun and excitement in this delightful town. (B,L)
