Stay in Joplin, Missouri and visit Rt. 66 Mural Park as well as stop at Bonnie and Clyde's hideout apartment. Travel to nearby Oklahoma to discover one of the best-preserved historic vaudeville theaters in the country. We'll stop in Carthage, MO to see the Precious Moments Chapel, the Route 66 Drive In.

Day 1

Get your kicks on Route 66 as we fly into Springfield, MO and travel to nearby Joplin, MO where two nights are provided at the Drury Inn. This evening enjoy dinner at historic Wilder's Steakhouse. Dating back to 1929 and located on Joplin's Main Street its ambiance provides a truly memorable dining experience reminiscent of when dining out was truly a special occasion.


Day 2

Breakfast is included this morning before we are meet by our local guide to enjoy a Route 66 experience. On Joplin's Main Street we take a picture taking stop at Route 66 Mural Park which pays homage to this nostalgic era. A stop will be made at Bonnie and Clyde's Garage Apartment which served as their hide out after a series of robberies in Missouri. Later make the short drive to Miami, Oklahoma and visit the meticulously restored Coleman Theatre. Originally serving as a vaudeville theater and movie palace, it still shows classic silent films accompanied by its majestic "Wurlitzer" pipe organ as it did in the late 1920's. This evening enjoy dinner at Keltoi Winery complete with entertainment.

Day 3

Today travel to Carthage, MO to view the historic 66 Drive-In Theatre which dates back to 1949 and still shows films every weekend in the summer. Later visit Precious Moments Chapel to enjoy its beautifully manicured grounds filled with gardens, statues and fountains. The chapel's ornate interior with its many stained-glass windows and murals was inspired by Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel. Travel to nearby Springfield to enjoy lunch and shopping at the original Bass Pro Outlet. Later we head for Branson where accommodations for the next four evenings are provided at the Centre Pointe Inn. This great property is located in the heart of Branson's entertainment district where plenty of theaters, attractions and shopping outlets are steps away. This evening dinner is included before taking your seat to enjoy Rick Thomas, a world class master illusionist.

Day 4

Today experience a tribute to the Platters, Coasters, Drifters and the Temptations at Branson's Tribute Theatre. Later, visit the College of the Ozarks where the students work for their education. Savor dinner this evening before enjoying the Haygoods considered by many to be Branson's most popular show. With over 27 years of playing together, they have performed over 7,000 shows, set the sold-out record in Branson and continues to be the longest running first generation show in the history of the area.

Day 5

Visit the Titanic Museum this morning and learn the stories of those that were onboard for the famous ocean voyage that has fascinated the world for more than a century. This afternoon witness the Acrobats of China Show. Known for their daring feats and colorful costumes you should be prepared for an edge of your seat performance. Later experience Billy Yates 'Hit Songwriters in the Round.' See and hear Nashville's top songwriters perform their hits and tell the stories that inspired them. This intimate show is like no other in Branson.


Day 6

A special shopping experience is included today at historic downtown Branson where you'll find many one of a kind shops. Don't forget to visit Dick's 5 & 10, a Branson landmark for over 50 years. This afternoon enjoy the confines of the Hot Hits Theatre as you enjoy the "Doo Wop" music of the 50's and 60's. Hear the songs of such legendary groups as the Cadillacs, Spaniels and the Moonglows. This evening a classic riverboat experience awaits on the Showboat Branson. Enjoy dinner and a variety show as you cruise on Table Rock Lake.

Another fabulous breakfast is served today at your hotel before transferring back to Springfield Airport with fond memories of our Route 66 experience.
