Day 1

Fly overnight to Edinburgh or Glasgow, Scotland.

Day 2

Our Scottish adventure begins with a panoramic tour of Glasgow to view its 12th century cathedral, beautiful university buildings and elegant Georgian squares. Accommodations are provided for two nights at the Hallmark Hotel in the downtown area of Glasgow. On our May 21st departure accommodations for two nights will be provided at the Stirling Highland Hotel located in downtown Stirling.

Day 3

Today visit Stirling Castle once the favored residence of Scottish kings and queens. Enjoy superb views of the battlefields where William Wallace and Robert Bruce won decisive battles in the war of independence against England. Experience some of the world's best single malt whisky as we tour a local distillery. View Loch Lomond in Trossachs National Park. The rest of the day is free to explore Stirling on your own.

Day 4

This morning visit the quaint village of Glencoe to see the "Glen of the Weeping" and remember the Mac Donald clansmen who were massacred in 1692. Near Fort William admire spectacular views of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak. This evening check into the Best Western Inverness Palace Hotel in the beautiful town of Inverness for a three-night stay.

Day 5

Today a full day of touring takes us to the Scotland's spectacular west coast with a visit to legendary Isle of Skye. Enjoy a scenic drive where you'll view rugged mountains, towering cliffs and sparkling locks. Witness the beauty of Eilean Donan Castle the most photographed castle in Scotland. Later return to the mainland with great memories of today's scenic touring.

Day 6

Stunning landscapes continue to abound as we view Loch Ness where you can try to spot the elusive Nessie pay a visit to the medieval ruins of Urquhart Castle. Later visit the Culloden Battlefield where a half hour battle changed the course of history and lives of the Highland people. Visit the prehistoric burial ground of Clava Cairns which served as an inspiration to the Outlander stories. This evening you are free to explore the delightful town of Inverness on your own.

Day 7

Today you'll spend some free time to explore the scenic Victorian town of Pitlochry. Continue to the Kingdom of Fife and the lovely town of St. Andrews whose Royal and Ancient Golf Club has given us the rules of golf. End this memorable day in Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh where two nights are included at the Apex City Hotel.

Day 8

This morning we discover Edinburgh's Old and New town. Drive up the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle to view Scotland's Crown Jewels. Visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official residence of the Queen. The rest of your day is free to enjoy the charm of the city on your own. This evening a special farewell dinner is included.

Today you will be transported to either Edinburgh or Glasgow Airport for your return home.

Stirling Highland Hotel
