Day 1

This morning we take the Cross Sound Ferry from New London, CT to Orient Point, the gateway to Long Island's famed North Fork area. We stop first in the cozy waterfront village of Greenport. Later visit a local winery and enjoy a memorable tasting of some of the area's most exclusive wines. Our accommodations for this evening are at the Hyatt Place East End in Riverhead. Tonight savor a fabulous dinner after a discovery-filled day.


Day 2

Today a local guide will lead a most interesting tour of the Hamptons. Explore the famed villages of South and East Hampton, home to such celebrities as Billy Joel, Steven Spielberg and Martha Stewart. We'll make a picture-taking stop at the Montauk Point Lighthouse. Visit charming Sag Harbor to view its historic waterfront area amid Greek Revival mansions and Victorian cottages.

Day 3

This morning discover Long Island's Gold Coast whose magnificent mansions served as an inspiration behind F. Scott Fitzgerald's famous work, "The Great Gatsby". Here you'll visit the impressive Old Westbury Gardens and witness one of the true treasures of this fabled area. You'll have the opportunity to not only view the meticulously manicured gardens and grounds, but to also explore the inside of this 1906 Charles II-style mansion. Later, we backtrack toward the lovely seaport town of Port Jefferson before taking the scenic ferry to Bridgeport, CT and continue our journey home.
